Banking expert Harvey to consult to BLP

Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP (BLP) has appointed banking industry specialist Peter Harvey, as a consultant to the firm. Peter, previously Vice Chair of UK Banking at Barclays, will take up the position with BLP on 1 October.

Peter, who was also formerly Chief Executive of UK Business Banking at Barclays, is one of the most respected banking professionals in the market. He has held a number of senior management positions during a career spanning 33 years at Barclays, including Group Customer Services Director and Managing Director of Larger Businesses, where he was responsible for relationship management of Barclays Customers across Europe.

He will be working closely with BLP Head of Finance Simon Allan, to assist the firm with developing relationships with financial institutions and corporate organisations. The finance team at BLP has grown rapidly, doubling in size over three years and this appointment demonstrates the continued commitment to offer clients industry leading expertise.

Simon Allan said: “Peter is a renowned industry authority with a wealth of experience. Having someone with his knowledge and experience will assist us in providing our clients with strategic advice and allow the team to develop a better understanding of the issues that matter to our banking and corporate clients.”
