We are currently supporting four young athletes in their bids to represent Great Britain in the 2012 Games. They are tennis player Laura Robson (14), middle and long-distance runner Emily Pidgeon (19) and sprinter Wade Bennett-Jackson (21). The fourth is tri-athlete Jill Parker, a BLP real estate finance lawyer, who has been with the firm since 2001.
The athletes will be supported by BLP in their endeavours to compete in 2012 and will be given a tailored sponsorship programme dependent on their need. The initiative demonstrates the firm’s willingness to nurture talent and support local projects.

Managing Partner Neville Eisenberg said: “We are thrilled to be associated with these athletes and hope that our support will help them reach their sporting ambitions in their chosen disciplines. All four of them are already beginning to compete at the highest levels and we will be following their progress with great interest over the next four years. Sources of funding are very difficult to find for most young sportsmen and women and our support is consistent with the firm’s desire to encourage talent and support local initiatives.”
